必須先找到自己

暑期英文課在訓練我們這些國際學生作 English presentation,

理所當然的，Steve Jobs 依舊是最佳教材，近10年來好像沒有人的presentation 作得比他更具代表性。

於是最近又重新聽了2005史丹佛的畢業典禮演說，不同時期聽這篇演講都有著不同的感觸。

現在也算是個初老的階段，對下面兩段文字就比較有體會了。

'You've got to find what you love'

你得找出你愛的

You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

時間有限，所以不要浪費時間活在別人的生活裡

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

一切徬徨的中止，無非是先找到自己，找到自己真的深愛的，然後不管其他人的意見好好走下去!

選擇繼續念書、作研究這件事情，有些人也是不以為然，覺得該上班不上班 老是"不務正業"。

Anyway, 正業到底是甚麼? 

教授家長覺得念PHD才是正業，業界家長覺得進大事務所才是正業，公務員家長覺得快點考到建築師執照才是正業。那自己認定的正業究竟是甚麼咧 ?

在多樣性的社會裡，我鮮少評論別人的選擇，因為我自己就是個常常拿不定主意，作了決定又愛後悔的糾結型人物，( 從當年選Cooper 的大糾結 應該就看得出來)   因此，有時也有挺羨慕一些說話很直、鐵口直斷的朋友，好奇他們是如何對複雜的人生發表迅速又堅定的判斷阿???  

今年GSD的平均年齡28餘歲，同學們裡有剛畢業21歲的小朋友，也有30多歲回來學習的建築師，小朋友下了課想要去看划船隊帥哥，建築師下課要回家帶小孩，大家在不同的人生路徑上相遇，比較誰跑得快沒有意義，關鍵應該還是是否走在自己想要的道路上吧 ~~
